All Capella graduates are automatically members of the Capella University Alumni Association. No registration or dues are required. Membership begins once your degree or certificate has been officially conferred, giving you access to alumni resources, events, and engagement opportunities.

Capella University will host two commencement ceremonies in 2026:

  • June 26–27, 2026 — Fort Lauderdale, Florida
    Graduates who have been awarded their degrees by May 15, 2026, are eligible to participate in this ceremony.
  • November 6–7, 2026 — Kansas City, Missouri
    Graduates who have been awarded their degrees by September 25, 2026, are eligible to participate in this ceremony.

Upon conferral of your degree or certificate, you can purchase regalia through Jostens. Regalia is required for participation in the in-person ceremony. Members of honor societies are welcome to wear their respective cords or stoles. These items must be purchased directly through the organization. Capella alumni are encouraged to share personal and professional achievements through the Alumni Accomplishments Form. Submissions may include promotions, new degrees, community involvement, publications, or other milestones. Shared stories may be considered for the Alumni Spotlight, featured on the Capella Alumni website, newsletter, or other university channels.

As a Capella graduate, you may be eligible for Alumni Capella Progress Rewards, designed to help fund the cost of your next degree. These scholarships recognize your continued commitment to learning and make advancing your education more affordable.

Returning students may also apply for the $3,000 Master’s Alumni Scholarship to support their next academic goal.

Yes. The Capella Career Center offers a variety of tools and resources to help alumni with their job search and professional growth. Services include résumé and cover letter reviews, interview preparation, job search strategies, and more.

Looking for feedback on your résumé? Upload it to the Résumé Review Tool to receive detailed suggestions within minutes. You can also explore the Cover Letter Writing Guide and launch your next step using the Career Development Center’s Job Search Tool. For one-on-one career support, visit the Career Center webpage on Campus or email careercenter@capella.edu for personalized guidance.

Capella University partners with Parchment to provide official transcripts and diploma reprints. Alumni and third parties can request these documents directly through Parchment.

For unofficial transcripts, log in to Campus to access and download a copy at any time. FlexPath learners can also request translated transcripts, course completion letters, or other supporting documents. These resources can be helpful for mortgage or loan applications, tuition reimbursement, employment verification, or graduate school admission.

To ensure you receive the correct information, choose your program type—GuidedPath or FlexPath—on the transcript request page for detailed instructions.

Duplicate diplomas may be requested through CeCredential Trust. Please allow 4–6 weeks for printing and delivery once payment is received.

Capella alumni are invited to share their expertise by participating as panelists, speakers, or moderators in alumni and university events. Opportunities may include the Alumni Speaker Series, professional development panels, virtual discussions, etc. To be considered, complete the Alumni Interest Form and indicate your areas of experience or preferred topics. The Alumni Engagement Team will review submissions and contact selected participants as opportunities become available.

Capella alumni can connect with fellow graduates and expand their professional network by joining the official Capella University Alumni Association LinkedIn group.

To join, visit the group page at Capella University Alumni Association LinkedIn Group and click Request to Join. Your membership will be verified by the Alumni Engagement Team. Once approved, you can participate in discussions, share insights, and stay informed about alumni news and events.

Yes. As a Capella graduate, you have access to a subset of student library databases through the Alumni Library Portal. These resources include scholarly journals, magazine and newspaper articles, encyclopedias, e-books, and dissertations to support your ongoing professional and academic needs.

You may notice that fewer databases are available through the alumni library. Some publishers limit access to subscription content for active students, faculty, and staff. In other cases, vendors provide modified versions of databases for alumni with reduced full-text content to comply with publisher restrictions.

Capella has worked to offer the best available content within these limitations, and alumni are encouraged to use the library to support ongoing academic and professional growth.
